Top 5 places to take your kids to around Southwest, Missouri

I love summer! It the best time to spend with the kids. Just click on the name and it will take you to their website. There are a lot of great places to go so here are my top 5 places to take my kids during the summer:
1.)    CarouselPark in Joplin, MO. - This is like a mini theme park it has lot, s of great things like: the only go carts in the area, jumping pillow, bumper boats, mini golf, batting cages; then there are the theme park rides like bumper cars, Ferris wheel, train, elephant ride(spinning ride), go gator roller coaster, mermaid (another spinning ride), carousel, tiger terror roller coaster, a ride called the light tower, the tilt a whirl, and a crazy ride called the whirlwind.
2.)     Splash Country or Grand Country Inn- Both names are the same place and they are located down in Branson, MO. The kids love the indoor and outdoor water park. I love that we can stay at a hotel and not have to drive in the traffic to go somewhere to keep the kids happy. This place is awesome they have everything. You can stay at a cheaper motel and go here or stay the night here. I love the fact that you have both options, and the kids love the water parks!
3.)    BransonScenic Railway – I think every child should know what a train ride feels like! I love it the kids love it. This is definitely a fun for all I get to sit back and relax for this one hour 45 minute trip that takes passengers through tunnels, over trestles, and through the southwest Missouri or northwest Arkansas wilderness that is still home to much wildlife and to the ruins of long-ago communities now named only on railroad maps. It’s a must!
4.)    DickersonPark Zoo – Who doesn’t love the zoo? We love going to the zoo, plus you can get membership bonuses.  Members of Friends of the Zoo help make Dickerson Park Zoo a first-class facility. FOZ helps care for the animals, construct new exhibits, provide fun, meaningful education experiences and makes possible participation in Species Survival Plans that are saving animals from extinction – all while giving members the time of their lives at the zoo! What you get with the membership is: Free admission to Dickerson Park Zoo for one year; free subscription to the zoo magazine, WildTimes; Free admission to the members-only preview of Halloween SPOOKTACULAR and half-priced admission on the other nights of the event; two one-day admission passes for your friends. Invitations to "members only" events; Discounts on education programs and children's birthday party packages. 10% discount at the SAFARI TRADING COMPANY gift shop. And, free or discounted admission to more than 100 zoos across the United States and Canada.
5.)    Worlds ofFun and Oceans of Fun -Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun are two adjoining theme parks with roller coasters, shows, water shenanigans, and attractions for people of all ages. A world of Fun is the premier amusement park destination in the Midwest -- offering 175 acres of excitement and fun for every member of the family. For thrill seekers, an impressive line-up of seven world-class roller coasters and dozens of thrill rides offers dips and loops ranging from big too small. Here’s one review of the Parks: World's of Fun is the majoramusement park here in Kansas City, Missouri. Set in a comfortable, usuallyshaded, grassy and tree lined park, the atmosphere is wonderful. The ridesaren't all smooshed together, there are plenty of benches for the ole fuddyduddies, and most of the lines for rides are through a covered area which isgreat on a 100 degree day.Roller CoastersThe newest of all coasters is the Boomerang! It is pretty good, but a ratherlong wait for such a short ride. You climb into the "train" just likeall other roller coasters, but instead of sending you on your way you findyourself being dragged backward up a hill. Once at the top, you are released, moving very quickly past all the people still waiting their turn, up into atriple loop, and then shoot up the next hill ... catching at the top. Once itreleases you from this end, you are sent reeling backward through the tripleloop and back up the other hill, finally settling you back with your waitingfriends. It is definitely a rush ... but the short timing just wasn't worthstanding in line again for another 20 minutes. The Orient Express and the Mamba are the other two steel roller coasters. TheOrient was KC's first to have complete loops ... the Mamba boasts the highestroller coaster around. Both are great rides, of course the best time to get anyof the coasters is in the morning before everyone gets there. The Timber Wolf is KC's only wooden roller coaster. Although a lot of peopleenjoy the viciousness of an all-wood roller coaster, I don't ride this one veryoften. With as much as you are thrown side-to-side, you may end up with aheadache for the rest of the day.The Wet Rides! The Viking Voyager is one ride that I think all amusement parks have. The logride that takes you and a few of your friends through a river of twists andturns, making it's way upward all the time, preparing you for the drop down, splashing into the lake, thereby leaving everyone soaked.I prefer the Fury of the Nile on hot days .. relax while you and 5 of yourfriends gently float down a river, cool, refreshing, and very surprisingly WET!That is if you get hit with any of the fountains, but even if you somehow missthose, it's really hard to miss the waterfall you are sent through.Other Cool RidesSome of my favorites would have to include the Detonator (sit in a chair and berocketted 10 stories straight up); the Finish Fling (get stuck against the wallof a rotating barrel as the floor drops out from under you); and the Zulu (itjust goes around in circles ... from a horizontal circle into a vertical circle- but very nauseating!).Don't Like The Rides ... Try a Game of Skill (er, chance)Like all parks, seeing the guys win stuffed animals for their pretty girlsisn't anything new here. My son won a blow up hammer, and both my daughters wonstuffed spider monkeys. My hubby didn't win me anything! You can throw balls into hoops, milk cans, and barrels, or try tossing ringsaround coke bottles. Although these games are possible to win, I wouldrecommend just heading for the good ole gift store and purchasing the one youreally like, and just pretend you won it! :-)How About a Show?Ok, so you can't do hours and hours of beating your body up by trying everyride 3-5 times? Check out one of the shows in the park. There are two insidestage shows (great for cooling off); an aquatic arena (which could be quitecooling if you site in the middle of the front three rows); and a shaded areawhere they show off the parrots.Stax of Wax is probably my favorite. The singers dance to oldies but goodies, working their way up through the modern music too. I took my one year old nieceto this show in hopes of getting her cooler and calmer, she just sat on my lapthe entire time clapping her hands and jiggling her butt! What Can The Younger Kids Do??Great question... We spent part of our time at Bernstein Bear Country which isdesigned for the youngest of the park visitors. Most of the rides here requireyou to be less than 48" tall, so finally, they get to play and you get towatch. They have small roller coasters, the boats that go around in circles, and alarge indoor scientific museum. This museum is a hands on experience of howthings work and you'll usually find a lot of the dads playing with thecomputers and whack a frog too!

The End!

I am not sure I am happy about leaving this class. I love the venting blogs or getting to ramble about my life and then getting comments from unknown faces. This semester the blogs have made me feel better about things in my life and I have gotten lots of great feedback from people I don't even know what they look like. I have to say this doesn't feel like an online classes. It feels like a real class because I have made friends and passed notes(lol). I mean homework was the best! You learned to write different types of term papers, lean about things going on right now in our lives, and you get to write a blog about anything you want. If every online class was this fun, educational, and interactive I would look forward to school work more. I hate writing this blog because I feel like I am loosing friends, feels like high school graduation all over again. So, to my many faceless class mates I say good bye, enjoy the summer (I know I will), and good luck in the future. To our wonderful professor Holly Chism, please stay as wonderful as you already are and please tell me how you can make an online class feel like a real class.
Thank-you all I have enjoyed reading your blogs and my two cents are gone with the wind.

Is there another funeral in my future?

Okay so my last two weeks have stunk! I keep trying to think positive but I can’t. My friends mom Died R.I.P Lynn and then two days later my grandma passed away R.I.P. Virginia Wilson, then two days after that my mother-in-law had a heart attack. I have been staying up in Kansas City with her and have not done any homework so now I am way behind. She just got out of the hospital yesterday. She was at KU, but, the worst part is that the doctors said we might as well start planning another funeral. Most married people don’t get along with their in laws and I for one was one of them and to some I am still am but, this woman who ten years ago I would not cared if anything happened to her has become a wonderful mother-in-law to me and she has always been a wonderful grandmother. Well, I care! I am scared I don’t want her to die! My husband has been gone these past three weeks in an unknown location with the military and I just got to talk to him yesterday and let him know what is going on. He is completely devastated and now we are going to meet at her house on Monday. It is so hard sometimes. I know that both good and bad things come and three’s but, this hurts so bad. I have been to my wonderful therapist 8 times in two weeks. She actually thought I made the whole thing up till I showed her the obituaries and showed her a picture of my mother-in-law in the hospital.

Okay really bad thing is I don’t understand hospitals. If she is bleeding internally don’t you think it’s your job to find where she is bleeding and fix it? Also, they say her heart still is not working right and that two valves are plugged and not working. Yet; they sent this woman home! Told her she could only drink two liters a day and if she gained more than 3lbs in a day or could not wake up, move, or something to that affect to bring her back. I think they should have just kept her and made sure she was okay and fixed everything. Okay so I am like two test behind with finals next week and also I didn’t write my 4th paper for this class; so I am pretty sure my eyes are going to see very bad grades, or the fact that I might fail a class or two now. That leads to lose my FASFA or even be put on academic suspension. I am not sure what the bright side is but, if I find one I will let you know. Alright I am off here and back to Kansas City Monday hopefully with enough prayers everything will be alright and I might pass this semester of classes.

Trump For President? Give me a break!!

Okay so I give it that Donald Trump is some kind of celebrity, but do you really think he is right to lead a country? Well, I for one like the show celebrity apprentice, but I sure and the heck would never vote for a celebrity to become president! I have heard everybody say oh he would make a good president because he is very intelligent with money. He has great business sense. Okay but, where does it say he has the qualifications to run for president. Has anyone thought of where he is going to come up with the money to help out are National Deficit? He is a man that gets people to give him money! So, as Americans the people are you going to be willing to open your pocket book and hand him money to pay off our national debt? I for one am not; and if you are willing to give money to help with our national debt then start helping now it shouldn’t matter who is in office. Either you’re going to help or you’re not!

Everybody thinks it is a joke that Donald Trump is telling about running for president but, “appearing on The O'Reilly Factor, Bernie Goldberg reported that, according to his source, Trump really is going to run.”I spoke to someone today, Bill. Someone who was in a position to know and that person tells me that Donald Trump has made up his mind and that as of today, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will, he will run for the nomination of the Republican nomination for President of the United States. That's as of today. And that's barring any unforeseen circumstances."” So, there you have it he is going to run. Yea! NOT!

I for one am concerned after reading an article on CNN it said: What most observers picked up from this small moment was: A) Trump would not be a poll-tested, talking point candidate. B) He would be willing to challenge audiences in front of him, caring less about their applause and more about speaking his own mind. C) There is an authenticity to him. There was something about his speaking up for a newly respected America that rang honest and sincere -- and most importantly, was needed. Okay so the man knows how to talk and con people but, he has no knowledge in politics. If he wanted to run for president maybe he should have went to college then became a senator, then a governor, and then ran for president. I think when people look or refer to Donald Trump all they see is a wealthy business man, but won’t they don’t think about is that him being wealthy means he is the opposite of Robin Hood instead of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor he is going to still from the poor and give to the rich. He is only running for president because that is the highest point on the totem pole.

I agree with what Huff Post has to say about Donald Trump running for president. They say: Donald Trump continues to parade himself around the media as if people in this country actually care about his potential candidacy in 2012. I don't think they do. This is a circus and it's fake.

Trump gives public service a bad image. It's not about flash, it's not about wealth, and it's not about hairstyle. It's about doing something for people and being an advocate for the community you represent. Trump, well, he's done none of that... ever.

Donald Trump is no more a serious candidate than me going back to North Dakota in an attempt to get a Senate run going. And I must say, at least they asked me.

Who has shown any interest in Donald Trump being the next president of the United States other than Donald Trump? Nobody.

The Republican Party isn't banging on his door, and the hilarious part of this is that he's trying to court the tea party through the birthers.

Trump is screaming to the public, "Please, pay attention to me! I'm important! I can get on any show I want! I could be president! And I'm thinking about it!"

You know what I say? "So what?"

Have you noticed in all of the interviews he has been giving, that he never has any solutions, no real answers other than verbal bomb throwing?

I'd like to know, Mr. Trump, what's your plan for 15 million Americans unemployed in this country? How about the 50 million uninsured Americans when it comes to health insurance? How about the poor, do you have a plan for them?

Trump doesn't talk about that stuff -- he continues to harp on the fact that he screwed somebody in a land deal and that's proof he can do a great job in foreign relations.

But when it comes down to the devil in the detail of dealing with the issues of the people and making real change, Trump, you don't have it. You've never had it. Money is not a measure of a man's character or success in the arena of public service.

I'm curious, where do you stand on the farm bill? Do you know anything about it? I'd like Donald Trump to tell the American people what state he thinks he can win. Maybe with all his money he can create a state.

Mr. Trump, stop embarrassing yourself.

Amen to the man who wrote this article in the newspaper! Please people I am begging you think before you vote! We only get one vote and I hope you make yours count and vote for anybody but this man!

Well my Grandma has passed away!

Well, I had just finished blogging last Friday about my 16 year old friend planning her mother of 45 funeral. Let me tell you what has happened since I wrote that blog. I wrote that blog late last Friday night. My husband had left that morning with the military. Now, I go to bed early after making sure my husband go to where he was going safely. I get up at 8am and get my three daughters, showered and fed so we can go to two different Easter egg hunts. Okay so, the girls and I have showered and are ready to go. I text my sister-in-law who is my best friend and ask her when she would be over to pick us up since my van is in the shop still getting the computer fixed on it. She picks up and we go to Orshelins here in Lamar and they decided not to do an Easter egg hunt, but to just let the kids come in and get a box of eggs. I can understand that. Anyway my nephew won a chicken. It was cool! Alright we have a couple of hours till the Lamar Park Easter egg hunt so we go back to my house since I live by the park. We are laughing and having a good time when my friend who is planning her moms funeral calls and says her uncle is in town trying to ruin her mothers funeral. Aww. Don't get upset we saved the day and with plenty of time to get to the park for the big annual Easter egg hunt. I am standing there and we are all laughing and having a good time and 15 minutes prior to the egg hunt starting my phone rings, I answer it because it's my mother. I yell first Happy Easter! She says nothing and I hear her crying really bad and I asked the whats wrong? She said I just called to let you know your grandma just passed away. She hangs up and says call me after the Easter egg hunt. I barely get the words out and say okay mom I love you. I look up at my sister in law and I can't breathe and she says what happened I tell her and some woman in the crowd turns around and by this time tears are running down my face and she says really? I was like nope I lie to cry at Easter egg hunts. we go Easter egg hunting but, for some reason I felt like I was trapped in a tornado. After the Easter egg hunt I sat down and waited for everybody to eat so my sister in law could take me home and everybody wanted to talk to me, but I had nothing to say. See there's where I messed up because I am a talker and everybody knows it, but my brain would not function. So, I left my kids with my sister and walked off and sat in her car waiting to go home. She dropped me off, I called my brothers and they started celebrating. Now, don't get offended you have to understand my grandma was mean to them. Anyway they don't want to go to the funeral because of issues they have with her, but I tell my mother I will get a babysitter and go with her. So, I try to go to sleep knowing that on Easter Sunday I had a wake to go to but, my brother calls the one with a baby and went back to the worthless mother and wants me to help him save his relationship. I am like really? This woman almost killed my niece and you want me to help? Anyway my lovely heart got in the way and I stayed up till 6am helping them stay together. I wake up at 11am to my oldest daughter 8 almost nine bringing me my brunch. What a daughter I thought to myself. See she knows what death means and she is the sweetest thing. She said you have 3 missed calls, and granny called. I told her thank-you kissed her and told her to go play. I call my mother and ask her when she was going to pick me up..... She starts laughing in the background and says well since your brother didn't want to go I decided I wasn't taking anyone. So, if you want to come you will have to find a ride. I explain that I can't but, would love to go to the funeral on Monday, she says okay. Monday rolls around and my mother never calls, comes by, or answer's my calls. The funeral was at 3pm. At 3:30 I get a call and she is talking to me like I am some celebrity. So, now I know she is just showing off for her family that has never met me. I let her. I am still hurt from her not taking to my grandpa's funeral when I was 18. So, now I have realized that my mother doesn't love me the way she does my brothers. Then she came over here today and asked me to let her have $50.00 because she spent that on gas to go to my grandma's funeral. All I could do was shut the door and lock it. I didn't want to be mean to my mother since she had just buried hers, but really why should I be the fall back child? Why is that I am always there for my parents, but my parents are only there for my brothers. I am talking to grown men who don't want anything to do with them and I am always there for them and yet, they don't care. Why? Anyway R.I.P. Grandma Virginia Wilson. Whether you where nice or mean you will still be loved and missed by me. Forgive me for not being at your funeral, but it was beyond my control.

Funeral

A friend of mine's mother passed away a couple of days ago..... What to say about my friend....Hmm. I will say she is a sixteen year old mother that is an outcast to her family. She has a baby boy and her own house! She is a great mother. I don't think kids should have kids but, in this case she is a great mother. Bad side is her mother died at 45. Who has to plan the funeral her mother's husband, who has a girlfriend? Maybe one of her mother's relatives who didn't even care enough about her to take care of her instead of just slapping her in a nursing home? NOPE! The poor child has to plan her mother's funeral and take care of all the arrangements! Where is her stepdad? Good question! I am so mad as hell and I don't care about anybody's feelings but hers right now. This child is no relation to me yet, I am the only one helping her with this besides one other person. This girl should NOT have to plan her mothers funeral alone! She is a child and she needs to grieve, but none of her family is there for her.
I ask in the world we live in how could a family be so horrible and do this to a child with a baby? I could NEVER do this to my worst enemy! I will never understand the things that happen or why people do this. I have a message to anybody in that family: Go look up the word worthless and it will say" Worthless-Y-O-U!
I will never forget we are all family and should treat others as we would want to be ttreated. If anybody comes to this girls moms funeral and tries to destroy know that their is not a person on Earth that will stop me from giving my two cents! How can people do this to a child? LOVE her! HELP her! Quit Judging her! All she ever wanted was love and now I know why she needs people like me in her life. Because she is better than me! She says nothing harmful, yet hears everyday how horrible she is, she tries everyday to be the best she can, yet it is not enough for you. She cries quietly at night hoping one day you will lover her, but you won't. So, like a radio show to my friend, Hear's Momma Jessica sending a song out to you; it's called Lullaby By: Shawn Mullins http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSPjTAFn-l0
I love you girl and everythings going to be alright!

What will happen in 2012?

Okay I have to write about this before school ends. I am pretty sure everybody has heard that something is going to happen in 2012. I know I keep hearing about it. First, before I talk about 2012 I want to tell you what is going to happen to my family in 2012. I am going to celebrate my tenth wedding anniversary! If my husband is still in the country at that time we are going to renew our wedding vows. We didn’t get a real wedding due to him leaving the first time he left for war. So, we always said we would have a real wedding on our tenth anniversary. I am excited about that! Also, I turn 30 in 2012. Okay so there is what is happening to me in 2012, now onto what is supposed to happen to the world in 2012.

I would like to start with Nostradamus, because this man wrote a lot of predictions and they so far have been right. So here is what wiki says that Nostradamus said;” The predictions of Nostradamus were in agreement with the scientist of today that the solar system will pass through the galactic plane of the Milky Way galaxy, as the earth enters its 25,800 year precession. When this happens, the gravitational wave, which exists as a flat plane along the equatorial region of the Milky Way, sends this across any passing solar system, including Earth and the Sun, causing earthquakes in both Sun and all the planets. In this region there are broken planets and asteroids that may cause near massive object collision with earth, but also as the solar system passes the equatorial region will the planets; including earth shifts its rotation. According to Nostradamus, when this passes, whole continents will be under water in a matter of 6-10 hours, where most of Asia will be underwater, but also other coastal regions. The land will sink fast and responsible for most of the destruction, but during this passing the earth will lose its orbit around the sun, massive earthquakes starts from the polar shifts and gravitational waves bringing on earthquake and sinking of continents. The spokes of wheel disappears in one of Nostradamus drawings which signifies that earth will no longer be in orbit or following cycles, and hence the disappearance of spokes. The sinking of land will also experience land underwater coming out at the same time, and will take matter of hours for a land to sink 2000 feet under the ocean much like Atlantis, which was about 2200 feet, located off the coast of Cuba. Nostradamus belonged to the secret society and this is known by the secret society too and symbolism matches his used, but because this knowledge was secret did Nostradamus have to plan the event to be “discovered" more than 500 years later.” This man has predicted a lot of things, so he nice to hear what he says. Like the article says most scientists agree with him.

Alright that is just one story. What about the Mayans? The Mayans never said that it was the end of times. To put it simple their calendar just ends. The question we ask is what does this mean to us? From the articles I read it means we are going to know a higher power. Well, here is a piece of an article explaining a little bit about the Mayan Calendar predictions: “You can say a lot about the Maya, but you've got to hand it to them: they knew a hell of a lot about stars. For instance, they calculated the exact duration of a year to a thousandth of a decimal point, much more precise than any Greek or enlightened philosopher ever did. Also, they were able to predict every solar and lunar eclipse until this day. And obviously, they knew where the galactic equinox and the exact middle of the Milky Way lay: they called this crossing `the Sacred Tree'. More disturbing, the Maya's were awfully good at astrology, too. Mysteriously, they predicted in what year their civilization would be overrun by foreigners coming from over the seas. Legend has it they even predicted the world wars. So if a Maya tells you the world will end in 2012, you'd better take it seriously. But actually, the Maya's never predicted anything concrete about 2012. That may have something to do with our ill knowledge about Maya culture: when the Spanish ransacked the land, they burnt literally every Maya book they could find. Only a handful of scriptures survived. And in them, there's not a clue about what happens when the Maya calendar ends. So what awaits us in 2012 basically is an open question. And as with so many open questions, countless doom preachers, semi-prophets and other crackpots pop up to provide an answer. The interpretation you hear most: 2012 will mark the coming of a new, glorious age of wisdom and peace. It will be Age of Aquarius at last, with a world full of peace, love and understanding. The reasoning behind this is actually not that stupid. The Maya's didn't really believed in endings: their conception of time was circular, with every end being the beginning of something new. So, 2012 shouldn't be an exception. Also, the Maya's had a highly developed philosophy of the cosmos. They saw the cosmos as the true mother of things. Consequently, the Maya's thought the cosmos is all around us, and within us. Every plant, every animal, every man is sheer Cosmos. So, New Age philosophers say, December 21st 2012 will be the day on which this inner cosmos is reconnected to the divine outer cosmos. The Sun will mount its unique position to form a `gateway' between the Universe and the souls of every living creature on Earth. Our linear conception of time will crumble, and with it, fear and hatred will vanish. It will be purification at it's very best, when everyone is soaked in cosmic understanding and divine love. So there it is: on December 20th, you'll kick your dog, yell at your spouse and cheat on cards. But a day later, you'll be calmed down into a peaceful dude with nothing but love and understanding to guide you in life. Even though it's mid-winter, it'll be summer of love for all humanity.

I know this is long but, one more point of view from our scientist oh wait they don’t really have a point of view, but that’s our government. I say live life everyday because you never know when it’s going to be your last! It’s like that saying the past is called the past because it’s behind us. Today is the present because it a present just to see it, and the future is the future because we can’t see into it.

And here is a website just for fun to lookout all the natural disaster's going on around the world! I love it!

What a crazy week! My ramblings!

Everything changes is what they say! I hate change unless it is for the better! Look at this weather hot one day rain and tornado's the next. My computer chip and my brand new van broke $600.00. Then my husband's alternator in his car goes out 4 days later $200.00. Husband going somewhere to train with the military and will be gone for Easter. No money for bills. My goat had a baby and almost died. She is still hurting the baby is fine. The list could go on, but with the mouthful I just said everything is still okay.

I am not sure why but, for once I am not worried about anything. I feel like everything is going to be okay. I look around my house and I realize I own it. Also we are buying another one so life can't be that bad right? I look at my three girls ands they are so happy and not wanting for anything. Matter of fact they are so helpful. They are trying to play mommy to me since they know their dad is leaving.

The last time all this chaos happened I was worrying like crazy but, everything worked out fine. Yep, we struggled but, we got through it. I think maybe that's it; or maybe the fact that since the cars are broke my parents have been over all the time and I get to spend more time with them than usual. Or maybe it's because I see how crazy people let their lives be; and I realize I could be like them and go nuts worrying and crying.

Instead I am like the sun will come out tomorrow. I guess some people just finally realize everything will be okay and the more time you focus on the negative the less time you have to focus on the positive.

Like my goat had her first baby and lived! Vehicle's can be fixed. At least my husband has two jobs. I don't have to work, I can spend the day doing whatever I want with my babies.

I am sure you might not understand  my ramblings but, it just makes me feel better to get it off my chest. I have a great life it is whether I choose to see it or not. Have a good one everyone! I know I will.

New inventions of 2011; like the flying car and past crazy inventions!

I love watching the Microsoft convention and finding new gadgets, new cars, and whatever else they can think of so, when I came across this article about what kind of inventions are coming out in 2011 I was amazed at what I saw. Wikipeers.com had this to say:

If you’ve wondered what might be some of the new inventions of 2011 here are a few of them.

1. One of the most exciting contraptions that you may encounter for 2011 is flying cars. MIT students from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics have actually succeeded in creating and flying a winged car. This is said to be the wave of the future. The company that is reported to release the space ship looking cars is called Terrafugia. So be sure to look to the skies in 2011.

2. A new form of hybrid cars will be launched from Toyota. In 2011 you will have the option to buy hybrid minivan. The minivan is recorded to have 7 seats in it and is a great fuel efficient car. No information on prices has been found yet.

3. In China a new robot is being designed to help kids with autism. The robot is being constructed by University of Hertfordshire. The robot is said to have artificial skin and is suppose to be in a child like form. It is suppose to help kids with autism to help them learn how to socialize better and interact better with their peers.

4. Edible houses are on the list for 2011. These houses are said to be run by wind, rain, sun and garbage. The house is supposed to be comfortable and affordable. Students at the University of Maryland are designing and building the house to be staged in 2011 at the National mall.

These are just a few of the ideas for 2011. They have already started constructing them and getting them ready for selling and research in 2011. I’m sure more inventions will come for 2011.

Now, I am truly excited about the flying cars idea. Could you imagine? Well, I wish in this kind of time I had lots of money or was rich because I so want one of these babies! My second choice would be the Hybrid minivan because I have three girls and I drive a minivan. I really am not sure where to go with the robot for autism kids. I know a little about autism but not enough to know if a robot friend would help them. Also, when I think of a little kid robot I think of two movies iRobot and The Terminator (Both make me hate the robot idea.) Wow! What do you say about an edible house? Ewe! What if it rot’s? What an imagination though, right? I don’t know I would have to get more information before I gave it thumbs up.

Alright let’s see more inventions that are to come in 2011 from another sight are: The new flu apps. This app. for iphones, droids, and other smart phones; it allows you to see where the flu virus is. I am not sure how this app. can ever be right since not everyone is going to jump on their phone and put in that they have the flu. However, the article in science and inventions says that: The WheresFlu app follows sickness incidence levels weekly and keeps track of the most top 5 affected cities in USA. The WheresFlu™ app will provide you with the result of your area or you can enter a zip code to an area you want to get information about.

Your average can be calculated as follows: It is considered low if the number of population affected is less than 5%, moderate between 5-10%, high between 10-15% and very high if more than 15% population affected.

Okay my last inventions I want to talk about are already made! Here are some of the craziest things I have come across. I just showed the pictures but you can click the link below to go and look for yourself or actually buy them. They are:

Woohoo My daughter's birthday is Monday!

Alright, here's the deal my mom turns 50 on Sunday and my middle daughter turns 6 on Monday. Okay yeah it's her birthday, but now guess what I have to do? I had to send out invations to her classmates for a birthday party tomorrow at the Forest Grove Petting Farm in Lamar, MO. Then Saturday I have to go make sure everything is set up for her birthday party. She has to have her cow girl outfit on. She gets to ride the ponies. She will love it! Then on Monday I have to send cupcakes and stuff to school because her birthday is actuall on that day. So, now she has had two birthday celebrations. To make things even better for her, my husband has to work Saturday and he is getting ready to go overseas for 18 months and will miss two of her birthdays while he was gone. So, we are going to have a third birthday for her on thursday so my husband can be there.

This is going to be a crazy year on birthdays now because my oldest realizes that her sister is getting 3 birthdays and she is only getting one, so now we are going to have three birthdays for her. So, my husband only finds it fair that our baby girl who just turned three in January and she needs two more birthday parties so that way everybody is equal.

So, I asked him since they were getting 3 birthdays a piece if that ment while he was gone I didn't have to give them a birthday party. You all can guess what the answer was. So, anyway now I feel like a party planner! So, to everyone reading this and it's your birthday:
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to whoever you are!
Happy to youuuuuuuuuuuu!

Thank-you for your time!

Who wins when the Republicans and Democrats fight? NO ONE!!!

Where does the madness end? I am so sick of Republicans fighting for the rich and Democrats fighting for the poor. All this is doing is killing the poor man. Do us a favor and put Clinton back and office; why? You may ask, because at the end of his term we were at an all time low on national debt, poverty, and people on welfare was minimal. Every since Bush got in office everything has gone downhill. Then we get Obama in office saying he is going to fix it. I thought for sure since he came from a poor family that he would actually do whatever it took to save us poor and middle class people. Now, I realize and didn’t matter who we put in office. The rich will stay rich and poor will stay poor. Anyway, on to matter’s of the press.

Now, the Republicans and Democrats are going to keep battling till are solders have no funds! Can you imagine being a solder overseas fighting for your country and your country stops paying you; or how about being a wife to one of those solders who rely on that paycheck to keep the bills up and you no longer receive any money? I can because I am an Army wife and I love that title; however I don’t think it’s fair to watch my husband leave all the time and risk his life and have no pay.

Here is what it says for the military: Key national security responsibilities, including operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and earthquake assistance to Japan would not be interrupted by a shutdown, the Pentagon said. U.S. military troops, including those at war, would receive one week's pay instead of two in their next paycheck if the government shuts down. Military personnel at home and abroad would continue to earn pay, but they would not get further paychecks until there is a budget agreement and government operations resume. The government said about 400,000 civilian Defense Department employees would be furloughed, with another 400,000 remaining on the job. Only about 10,000 Veterans Affairs employees would be furloughed, out of a workforce of more than 300,000.

Also, Fox news reports that: Lawmakers worked through the night Thursday to try to reach a budget deal, but with no word on their progress, it was unclear whether or not there would be an announcement in the morning that a federal shutdown had been avoided. And with a shutdown possible as early as midnight at the end of Friday, time is almost up. Following another high-stakes meeting with congressional leaders Thursday evening, President Obama said he expected an answer early Friday on whether or not an agreement had been reached.

Now I have to say you’re the president! You can pass whatever you want; you can veto whatever you want. Why do this to our solders? They defend our Nation! This is just as crazy as ever! Makes me never want to vote again!

Jessica's two cents: The Soap Opera continues....

Spring break was fun till the end! I had a wonderful week playing with my girls! Horseback riding, playing with the baby goats and more! Wish the weather would have been a little better but, it was a blast. So, when Spring break was coming to an end my brother went back to his ex! His ex is a crazy lady who runs around naked smoking pot in front of her children; why would you go back. She has banned my brother from ever speaking to me or my children. Had the nerve to tell my daughter to say a cuss word to me! Where does her drama stop! This woman is absolute crazy and doesn’t even want my brother! She just wants a guy to stay at home take care of her children while she cheats on him. AWWWW!!! Hear my head hitting the wall wondering why men go back to a woman who could possibly kill your children. You know you’re putting them in danger! WHY? Okay now that my rant is over great news!! School board got both my daughters a private tutor and they are surpassing in their grades and studies!! My daughter that has the horrible teacher went to tutoring 2 times this week and has already learned everything that she needs to pass second grade! Apparently I was right about my daughter she is a freaking genius (like her mother…lol). So, now I would love to know what they are going to do about the teacher now that they know it was not my daughter being mentally challenged, but that it was the teacher NOT doing her job! I really don’t care because my daughter no longer comes home crying, but in fact feels really good about herself; on the other hand what about the rest of the kids the teacher teaches??? Tune in next week for another episode of Jessica two cents. I love this blog!!!!!!!!!!!

Teen Mom TV show is gone in the wrong direction!

This week I think we need to discuss the show teen mom! This show has become an epidemic! Ok to let you know what it is here is how Wikipedia describes it: Teen Mom is an American reality television series that premiered on MTV on December 8, 2009. The series is a spin-off of 16 and Pregnant, and chronicles the lives of four of the original teenagers from that series as they navigate their first year of motherhood. In addition to teenage motherhood, the series focuses on themes of changing relationships, specifically, those of the family, friends, couples and school. It shows the struggles teenagers have to go through to raise their children.

My thoughts when I watched the first thing was thank God those are not my children. This season was even crazier. The whole point of this show is to show the struggles teens have to go through so that other teens don’t get pregnant. However, I am confused why the state never files any charges on these girls and if you went on the show for the right reason you would point out that you loved your child but, look how hard it is. If this was my show I would focus on all the struggles that you really go through. For an example getting up nonstop through the night making bottles and changing diapers, waking up tired and sleeping when the baby is napping! Also, teething! That is a nightmare itself. Instead they show moments of them being happy go lucky.

If you want to make a point do what MSNBC news did and post an article on the bad. Here’s what MSNBC had to report: What will it take before MTV fires 'Teen Mom' Evans? Network likely won't cut her loose since show is about bad decisions, pop culture expert says. First, let's review Evans' ever-growing rap sheet.

Before yesterday's arrest in Oak Island, N.C., for that highly publicized brawl, the 19-year-old reality star and her slacker boyfriend, Kieffer Delp, were busted last October after allegedly breaking into an Oak Island house and getting caught with marijuana.

Consequently, she'll be in court April 26 for a hearing on misdemeanor drug charges and breaking and entering stemming from that case. Then on April 29, she'll have to answer to even more counts of breaking and entering, injury to real property, trespassing and making harassing phone calls in a separate case.

With all that alleged law-breaking under her belt, one wonders when execs at MTV might deem her too radioactive to justify her firing.

Don't hold your breath, according to one pop-culture watcher.

According to Robert Thompson, director of the Bieier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University, there doesn't seem to be much outrage targeting the show—mainly because "Teen Mom" explores the idea of bad role models. And there are so many bigger celeb meltdowns these days grabbing the spotlight (see Sheen, Charlie; Lohan, Lindsay).

"Charlie Sheen was on the network of Edward R. Murrow, CBS, and he got a pretty long leash before they finally took him to the pound," Thompson tells E! News. "And here were talking MTV. Not only is MTV a totally different brand than something like CBS, but secondly we're talking about a show about people who've made bad decisions so it's not surprising."

Thompson says that given the content of the current crop of reality shows, viewers would be more surprised if participants didn't have some sort of shady past. What matters more, however, is the kind of uproar generated by interest groups, such as the Parents Television Council for instance, who track and condemn their bad behavior. The PTC has issued several "action alerts" targeting "Teen Mom," but nothing has stuck.

Then they are starting to become TV stars like Macey off the first season. Here’s part of an article from TV blurred talking about her joining Jersey Shores. When the Jersey Shore cast heads to Italy for their third season in a few weeks, they’ll be joined by the cast of Teen Mom, including their babies. MTV said in a press release that “combining the casts of MTV’s most-popular series will give viewers even more of the drunken fights and drama they crave in their authentic entertainment.” The group will live together in a former convent that has been renovated to include baby changing tables attached to stripper poles.

All this makes me sick! I won’t even allow MTV to play at my house anymore. I don’t need my eight year old to think this is the way the world works!!!

My daughter and her NOT so wonderful school!

Okay so all semester you have heard me talk about my daughter and how the school and the teacher treat her. Well, I went in front of the school board Thursday night and I explained everything and now have to wait until spring break is over to get an answer. But, hopefully this teacher gets fired if not I am going to the media. They went so far as to call welfare on my daughter saying she had missed too many days of school. They said she had missed like 23 days when the welfare lady came over she realized the school had only marked down that my daughter had missed 8 days and late 12. Welfare lady was wonderful she talked to my daughter and said we had a case for verbal assault on a minor. I am still debating on whether or not to go ahead and press charges on this teacher. Don’t get me wrong I am all for it however I wonder if I do press charges the school will do anything they can to get all of my children out of their school. Anybody have any suggestions? I hope all goes well; I wish they would just put the best interest of my daughter first! Okay see all you after spring break!

IRS pays Enron whistleblower $1.1 million

I have now found a new way of making money in the news. In the news is how this anonymous person was responsible for tuning Enron in. The Washington post newspaper said “Before Enron was publicly exposed as a financial house of cards; a whistle blower tipped the Internal Revenue Service that the company was using abusive tax shelters to generate fictitious income, a law firm representing the informant said Tuesday. Now, more than a decade later, the IRS has paid that whistle blower a $1.1 million reward, the law firm said. “If the IRS had pursued this information in 1999 when my client first informed them of these abusive tax shelters, the government might have realized the depth of Enron’s problems and perhaps taken steps that might have helped avoid a total meltdown,” lawyer Erika A. Kelton of the Washington firm Phillips & Cohen said in a news release.”

Okay so now he or she is a millionaire. I want to be that person because according to another online sight through msn states: “The payout came from the new IRS Whistle blower Office, but was made under prior, less generous guidelines. Those older rules, which still apply in some instances, call for a reward of up to 15% of the money that the IRS recovers based on the information. The whistle blower office was revamped in 2006. Now when whistle blower information about alleged tax cheating leads to IRS collection of unpaid taxes and the subsequent recovery amount exceeds $2 million, the whistle blower can pocket up to 30% of the recovered money.” Okay so, if anybody is out there frauding the IRS for millions of dollars let me know so I can report you and get my retirement at 28.

My main point of this article is to say that see doing right thing pays off! It might take a decade but it’s still worth it in the long run! I would wait a decade for 1.1 million dollars.

Fallen Heroes!

Alright today I want to talk about fallen soldiers of the wars. Being a military wife I have seen and heard first hand fallen soldiers that don’t get the recognition they need. I think there is more that we can do like this website I found. The website is Tribute to Dead Heroes: they This site was put together for all the heroes and newspaper articles on them of past wars, and I think we need to do that for are fallen soldiers including non military personal that died starting on 9-11. I think this would bring a lot of peace and comfort to their families. There was one fallen solider in my husband battalion. You might of heard about his death about 6 years ago or maybe not but, he was from around Joplin, joined the military like most to help pay for college and as soon as he got over there he got sick and died. What the rest of the world doesn’t know is that Josh N. I do not want to give his last name because it might give out a location on an army base. See, this fallen hero died of sickness but, he still was a hero and the battalion he was in named the base they where building after him. It would just be nice to give a little more to these families.

Fox news.com has a good article about a hero they say “NEW ORLEANS — Hugh Thompson Jr., a former Army helicopter pilot honored for rescuing Vietnamese civilians from his fellow GIs during the My Lai massacre, died early Friday. He was 62.” His story wasn’t really told until this article told it. It makes you wonder why we wait so long to give the recognition to those who deserve it. I ask you that when you run into a person and you know they are a war veteran, that you just say thank-you and listen to their response. The older ones will tell you thank-you and walk away without letting you know what they are really thinking. I only say this because I was at a doctor’s appointment one day and I say an elderly guy wearing a WWII hat on and I walked up to him and his wife and asked if I could have the honor of shaking his hand and he smiled for a second and said you must be a very young army wife and I said yes sir. He shook my hand and said thank-you then walked on for his appointment. I sat down and waited for my turn, while I was waiting his wife came out and was crying and came up to me and said thank-you. I was puzzled and said I am the one who should be thanking you two. She said that the day before her husband was ranting and raving like he had so many times before the day before saying that people today don’t appreciate anything anymore and when I said thank-you he realized there was hope for the future and that people did care about his sacrifices. I have been there before. Before I married my husband I never thought twice about the war and the affects it will always have the people who served and their families. So, take the time and say thank-you.

On the last story I will share with you what they have written and I leave you with the hero of the moment. The Edinburgh news published a story back in July 31, 2008 and reads: “Hero shot dead in Afghanistan had followed dad into Army. THE Edinburgh soldier killed this week in Afghanistan had followed his father's footsteps into the army. Sergeant Jonathan Mathews of The Highlanders, 4th Battalion the Royal Regiment was killed by a single gunshot while on foot patrol in southern Afghanistan. The 35-year-old followed his father, a soldier in the Royal Highland Fusiliers, into Army life. His parents, Anne and William Mathews, who lived in Penicuik when their son was born, now live in Irvine with their other son, David. Sgt Mathews' father told the Evening News: "We have no comments to make other than to say that he died doing what he loved and we are very proud of him."Writing on a tribute website Army colleague Dave Baxter, who trained with Sgt Mathews, described him as "a true friend and inspiration to all who knew him" and "a one in a million guy". It has emerged Sgt Mathews joined up at the age of 21 originally with the Royal Scots, and on completion of basic training was posted to Fort George, Inverness. A few years later, he was posted to Glencorse where he met his wife Shona. The couple later married at Edinburgh Castle.” I hope you remember the war is still going on and we still need your prayers to bring today’s heroes home!!

My new complaints!

Gripe of the week! Why do cops think they are better than civilians? I am so frustrated! What a week. A woman has an abortion behind her boyfriends back and buries the baby in the back yard. The boyfriend finds out tells the police and what do they do about it? Nothing! They laugh and joke around about it. Also, I found it disturbing just because I seen on the news that a fifteen year old little girl had a miscarriage and buried her baby and she is looking at 20 years in prison. Have I gone mad or is this world going wrong because a 19 year old vs. a 15 year old; and the 15 year old goes to prison while another one goes free. Whatever! Onto more issues, why do police think its ok to help a mother who only wants her child for money hide a baby away from the biological father? I am a mother of three and I would do anything for them but, I know there are mothers out there that are not good mothers and only get pregnant to either keep the father around or use the child as a paycheck. UGGHHHH! Thank-God for home work! I get to let all this off my chest and I can get feedback on what is irritating me to death. Let me have all the feedback you can give me. See this blog might make no sense to anyone but, since I have been writing Gripe sessions I feel a lot better when I get done writing it!! I love getting a grade for complaining about what’s going on in my world. Like I said you might not get it and I might ramble but, the more I type the more I feel better! So, anyway if you know of a great child custody lawyer let me know because my friend has a great lawyer but, never know might be a better one out there! Also, please feel free to tell me how you feel about a father raising his daughter on his own. Good or bad I will take all your opinions at this point I need them because I say that a child’s place is with their mother but, in this case I have seen firsthand that she doesn’t even spend time with her child. Somebody else always has the baby.

Stolen tow truck, police cruiser crash

Stolen tow truck, police cruiser crash

Springfield police said a man driving a stolen tow truck caused an accident with a police cruiser this morning. The man in the stolen truck failed to yield at a stop sign and coincidently pulled into the path of the police car, said police spokesman Cpl. Matt Brown. No serious injuries were reported from the accident. The tow truck was apparently being pursued by an employee of Preferred Auto Repair which owned the truck and reported it stolen about one-half hour before the crash.

Jeff Coop said he followed the tow truck after he saw the vehicle pass the auto shop.

Coop said he saw the tow truck pull out in front the police cruiser. As the stolen truck overturned at the intersection of College Street and Scenic Avenue, the driver was ejected. Apparently unharmed, the driver tried to flee on foot. Coop said he chased the driver for about a block before he caught and “choke slammed” him. Although shaken by the wreck, the driver of the patrol car, Officer Mark Riggins, also gave chase and made the arrest, Brown said. A witness on College Street said he saw the tow truck traveling westbound at high speeds and blowing through stop signs. Seconds later, the witness said he saw the same truck travelling eastbound at high speeds and being pursued by another vehicle before hearing the crash. “I heard that big boom and I thought, ‘Oh, he bought it,’” said Clifton Jewell.

A Springfield Police Department spokesman says the tow truck was going about 90 miles per hour when it collided with the police cruiser. The truck was eastbound on College Street. The driver of the truck, Justin Wooliver, was charged late Friday afternoon with unlawful possession of a firearm, first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle (a charge commonly used for a stolen vehicle), and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. A judge set his bond at $100,000.

When does the ignorance end? Really you stole a tow truck... what were you thinking? I wonder many days as I watch the news and read about it if anybody has a clue anymore. Every day it seems like people are committing dumber crimes. When do you believe this madness will end or do you believe people will keep this going? How many cop shows are on TV showing how they catch criminals. They need to bring back that show America’s dumbest criminals. I mean hello the cop was even after you. So, to all those planning on stealing a car or tow truck remember stay away from cops and look out for them so you don’t hit one!! To the poor officer who got hit, I apologize for ignorant criminals and I hope your okay. To the criminal that hit the poor police officer if you’re going to steal a car or vehicle remember it’s against the law!!!

Gripe session

OK this week I am starting off with gripe session! OK so, I had a meeting last week with my daughters school. Everything sucked. Now have to go have a meeting with the school board. Then on Tuesday issues with my brother and his girlfriends needless to say only need one word to sum it up is DRAMA! Cops where at my house a lot due to their lives. Then on Wednesday my wonderful daughter tripped over my laptop power cord that was broke and it somehow broke my laptop. The laptop turns on and says there is no hard drive. Really, because we didn't take the hard drive out. So, no car, no laptop, and no way to get on the lovely Internet. Call and get the laptop to the computer shop and they still haven't fixed it. Thank-God for income taxes bought a new laptop yesterday. Yeah right? NO! Spent nine hours on the phone with a guy from another country trying to download Microsoft office professional 2007. This can not be happening to  me. OK So, run down of last week. Stuck home with no computer and no car. Stuck with my little brother who had his heart smashed and thank-god he is now back to normal! So, glad he is in a better place living life! So,  good news is that I now own a new van (I love it) and I have a computer to catch up on my homework and try to get some kind of grade; brother’s ex is gone and he is back to work and happy. Don't worry everybody says life gets better. I say yea right come trade me spots. So, if anybody has money and would like to pay for me to have a babysitter and a trip to a massage parlor for the day. Just let me know. I will let everyone know that it maybe true in real life that there is a rainbow after a hurricane, but remember the pain comes first. Also, if there is any single woman out there 20-24 that are not crazy and want a hot guy with a romantic side; just leave me a message. My brother needs a good woman because he is a good man. He is 6’3 150lbs, blonde hair; hazel eye’s and dimples. That’s right ladies he has dimples. Oh, and he has his own car, and place. Posting a picture of him with this. Don’t be shy give him a try.  Yep! I just posted an ad about my brother. Don’t tell him when you meet him. We will just find a way for you to run into each other. Or find him on Facebook under Justin Carter.

My tantrum!

Hello world, look out here I come. Oh man! What a messed up couple of weeks. Ever feel like you shouldn't have woken up the past couple of weeks? I am sure you have been there before. Alright here it is. I found out that I have been so busy it has been coming back to haunt me. Get this: Ok so on my first history test I studied for the two chapters that are on the next test; got a bad grade didn't realize I studied the wrong section. Ok so I had a history test last Monday again I studied the next two chapters; got a bad grade! Wasn't until my 8 year old daughter showed me that I had studied for next week test! Yea an 8 year old, So, good news I am ready for the next history test, bad news I got like 44 out of a hundred on the first two test. Alright next problem for 3 weeks now I have been trying to take my math test. I finally got to take it on Tuesday. I look at the test and laugh this is just too easy. So, now I am worried that I was too cocky or thought I knew it all and am worried that I just may have flunked an easy test. Maybe it was a trick and I gave the easy answers but maybe it wanted something more. Now I won't find out till tomorrow. Don't really want to know unless I get a good grade. Alright moving on to World Literature II...... Hmmm does anybody really know what the heck they are saying? I am like hello are report was over comparing and contrasting two translations of the same poem and I read the other students papers and I am like did we get the same assignment because your rambling on about something way off the subject plus you’re talking about like 30 different poems. My assignment reads choose a poem and compare and contrast two or more translations of it. Ok once again I only see one poem! So, now I am freaked out about that. This class I love! I know it's an English class and when I took the first one I was nervous, but with taking this class and knowing the teacher I know what she wants so it's easy! Also, I love this year’s blog, because I get to use one of the blogs and do these complain about anything and everything! This is the highlight of my week; I get to get everything out and out of my brain!

Congressman craigslist scandal

Ok so Republican Christopher Lee a married congressman from upstate New York resigned suddenly Wednesday after a scandal erupted over emails and a shirtless photo supposedly sent to a woman in response to a Craigslist dating ad. After, this came out he gave a speech which said: “It has been a tremendous honor to serve the people of Western New York. I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness. The challenges we face in Western New York and across the country are too serious for me to allow this distraction to continue, and so I am announcing that I have resigned my seat in Congress effective immediately."
This all came about because a Maryland woman had sent in emails supposedly written by Lee in response to a dating ad that she had placed on Craigslist. The ad had supposedly asked: "Will someone prove to me not all CL men look like toads?" So, in response came emails from a man representing himself as a divorced lobbyist younger than Lee's actual age of 46. The woman responded.
In the New York local paper it says quote “House Speaker John Boehner on Thursday said New York Republican Chris Lee did the right thing in resigning after a report that he flirted online with a strange woman and sent her a shirtless photo of himself. Boehner refused to say whether he spoke to Lee or urged him to resign after an online gossip site posted a provocative email exchange between the married first-term congressman and a woman who posted an ad on Craigslist.
More on the congressman are: The website Gawker reported that Lee had responded to a woman's ad in the "Women for Men" section of Craigslist personals. She wrote a post asking "will someone prove to me not all CL men look like toads?” He responded with a shirtless photo, describing himself as a "very fit fun classy" 39-year-old lobbyist. In a later email, he said he was divorced. Gawker said the woman cut off contact after searching for him online and finding out he lied about his age and occupation. Lee's resignation comes almost a year after Democrat Eric Massa resigned his seat in western New York's 29th Congressional District amid an investigation into whether he sexually harassed male staffers. Massa gave contradictory explanations for his behavior, acknowledging he groped and tickled a staffer in a nonsexual way and wrestled with others at his 50th birthday party, but then denying any groping occurred.
All I have to say is who cares? His wife might but what right do we have to judge him? He didn’t cheat on me, so I don’t care. Why is this the news of the hour and why do we always hear all the negative things and never anything good that people are doing? Good heavens look at what Bill Clinton and the Monika Lewinsky thing. Ok so they had a fling she was keeping it a secret as long as she was happy, but the minute she wasn’t she became the victim? Once again I don’t care what he did in the office, if he got high or cheated a million times on his wife; why do I not care because they fail to say when he was in office the national debt was at an all-time low, unemployment was below normal(which is a great thing). Also, he got people off welfare and working. So, when you look at everything one of these men has done does it really matter what is going on in their personal life? And, one other thing I think he planned this with his wife just so he could resign. It was too well planned; also how dumb could you be not to recognize his face? He never did anything with her, he never met her, do you really think what he did was worth getting him to resign when we have seen way worse? You be the judge! One more thing: he looks good for his age! I wouldn't have lied about my age if I was him.

God give me the strenght

Why does it always feel you have had enough? Why do you always think your worse off? I have felt this way all week. Remember Murphy’s Law: What can go wrong will go wrong. Well, that was me this week. I have tried several times this week to take my math test, there have been so many issues and I still have not got it taken. Two my internet does not want to work. I had to call and get new internet service, but somebody at AT&T changed my address; and I bought my house when I was twenty and I am 28 and have had phone service with AT&T all this time. Ok so anyway they were supposed to install it Monday then it got switched to today (Friday) and guess what people? No internet yet! Why am I on the internet right now? Oh that’s because I am stealing my poor neighbor’s internet. Don’t worry he knows. But, believe it not my world revolves around the internet; especially since all my classes are online; and since even if I have 2 feet of snow outside I still have school. So, hopefully I get internet soon. Also, I have a ton of school work to either study for or actually do and I can’t do the research because I have no internet. Anyway, that and my husband has drills this weekend so I have the girls all by myself and they have cheerleading in the morning, then gymnastic practice in Joplin; then karate that night. Then Sunday private dance class and then we all have Spanish class. Ughh. I just need some me time. Can’t even celebrate Valentine’s Day because my husband has to work and he won’t be off again till next Monday. Anybody got a free spa pass? If so, pass it my way.  I know probably none of this makes sense but, that’s probably because I am so exhausted. So, please by all means respond if you can make sense of it.

Robbery gone wrong or bad get away plan?

Officers with the Joplin Police Department were dispatched to the Sonic Drive-In located at 720 South Maiden La. for an armed robbery that had occurred just before 5 p.m. today (February 9). An employee at Sonic indicated that a male and female subject were in a vehicle that she delivered food to and when she approached the vehicle a male subject demanded money from her. The victim stated that the male suspect, later identified as Jaycee Jones, was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle when he displayed a knife and demanded money from her. The female suspect, later identified as Crystal Harper, was sitting in the driver’s seat. The suspects left with an undetermined amount of money. As they were attempting to leave the area, their vehicle became stuck in the snow. Before another employee of Sonic was able to contact the suspects in the vehicle, they both fled the area on foot. Both suspects were later located in the area by Joplin Police Officers and were taken into custody. There were no physical injuries reported to police. Jones was arrested for 1st Degree Armed Robbery and Armed Criminal Action. Harper was arrested for 1st Degree Robbery. Charges will be forwarded to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office. Both subjects are currently in custody at the Joplin City Jail pending formal charges being filed.” This is the article by the Joplin Independent.

All I have to say is why would you not think ahead, plan ahead, or think about how you were going to get away with it? Seriously, I wonder sometimes if anyone ever thinks in life. Number one hello there is snow all over the ground; two, how much money did you think you were going to get off of a car hop? Not to mention if you comment a crime you go to JAIL! This should be on America’s dumbest criminals. I wonder if they could get off these due to mental retardation; or maybe some other brain problem. I honestly could understand robbing to feed your kids or something like that but, I am no way in condoling any kind of breaking the law, I am just saying maybe if they had kids at home starving to death or mentally challenged in some way I could be less in sending them to jail; but in this case all I have to say is bye, bye and enjoy the free room and board and meals you are about to receive because you deserve it. Good Luck in your case and make sure you don’t drop the soap. Oh and you might want to get in shape while you’re in jail so the next time you can run faster.

Road workers and why is the snow still on the road; and where is my mail?

We have the National Guards, State, and city workers out there clearing the roads. So, my question is why in almost a week the roads are not cleared. I mean really where are you people? People are out there dying on the main roads; and you’re nowhere to be found. The roads in Pittsburg, KS. are almost all cleared. I know because of the news and my husband has driven over there every day this week but Tuesday; and the roads are cleared. Yet, in Lamar no city person has been around. Mail is NOT being delivered. I mean isn't the mail supposed to run no matter what. It's in their motto. Anyway, I just don't get it. I understand that major roads come first, but how long do you think the elderly or people without ways to get to the store can last on the food they bought. However, way to go to the awesome people out there who have hearts and are clearing the streets of Lamar. I applaud you and the fact that you are willing to spend your time and money so these roads are halfway drivable. I love on the news how they mentioned some people out there doing it for free; then showed two fireman who were actually only helping each other. One was clearing the others driveway and in return the other firefighter was going to fix his hot water heater. Does anyone understand what helping is? It is an act of kindness that you do something for Nothing! They should have talked to the guys who live down the road from me that have been doing everything in their power to get our roads and driveways cleared for nothing! I do not know your names, but thank-you!!!

Snow, Snow, and the military! What a week!

Hmmm Where to begin in this article?? Well let’s see; I will start with the phone rang. Yep! My husband phone rang and on the Caller ID it said Army…. I hate these calls. I am already going crazy as it is when they call. You see I am an army wife so you never want to see Army on the caller ID. My husband was in the shower when the phone rang; so I had to answer it. Of course it’s his captain asking if he is here and I tell him yes he is in the shower can I take a message. With a lump in my throat I waited for his message. Whew, he wants to know if my husband can help with the state of emergency weather. I respond sorry he can’t we only have one vehicle and I don’t want to get stuck in the weather taking him to the Armory (which is an hour and a half away).  He says ok Mam thank-you for your time. Now I am not selfish, but I have one vehicle at the moment and three kids what if something bad happens? I need him! So, sorry people I am keeping him for as long as I can. Come to be the next morning... Wow! Where the heck did all this snow come from? We went outside to check on the animals. Bundled up are three girls walk off the porch and I literally lost one of our daughters. My three year old daughter is just barely three foot and she was not tall enough to walk in the snow.  We dug here out and went around to the back of the house the dogs were fine, but how was my husband going to get to work? Needless to say 3 hours later and a broken broom because we had no shovels; we finally got the car out of the driveway. Came back in my husband’s job called to say there was no work today. I laughed he said well heck do you guys want to go looking around and see all the snow; and of course all the girls wanted to so we did. We also went to Wal-Mart and they were out of shovels, but my husband got me a new broom.  Ok so we decide to go home and to our lovely eye’s we see that somebody was nice enough to clear our street; but now our driveway was blocked and no snow shovel. We went and borrowed one and after two hours of my husband shoveling we finally got back in the drive. Believe it or not it was great. Oh and on another note just don’t tell my husband the military called. I still haven’t told him. Sometimes little white lies are ok, but I am sure when he goes to drills next weekend I am sure somebody will ask him why he always volunteers and this time he didn’t. Not looking forward to that talk, but I am sure he will understand.  Oh and by the way tell my internet company to hurry up and fix it. I hate staying the night at other people’s houses just to do homework!!  Be safe everyone!

Opinion Piece on My daughters school SUCKS! Help me please!

The school system where my children go to has gone back to the: I really don't care about your child; try to do something about it. My oldest is a second grader and the teacher refuses to help her. She won’t send home the spelling words until Tuesday, also walks around during her planning time; instead of using it to plan. Also, she refuses to call parents back and she won’t stay after 3pm. Isn’t it your job to stay and communicate with parents. I mean really I understand you have a life outside of school but why do I need to do your job for you. Why aren’t you trying to help me catch my daughter up or give me advice on how to help her? I mean she goes to school for 8 hours and then has to come home and I have to teach her myself, because she don't get what the teacher is teaching or the teacher goes to fast. Who ever heard of a teacher timing a spelling test? Is it about the time or if she knows how to spell? I called the principle, nothing changed, called the superintendent and he told me over his career would I ever get a meeting with the teacher and the principle to see how we can catch her up. What a superintendent! I then asked for the board of education’s phone number and they refused to give it to me. So, I had to do the research myself. I finally got his number called him and the first thing he said was why you don’t have a meeting with the teacher and principle. I laughed and then told him what the superintendent told me. So, now I am waiting back to see what the president of the board of education does. What happened to the no child left behind act???? I mean half of our schools kids are in a Special Education class. Why?? Why in 3 years have they not caught my daughter up to her reading class? She goes to a special class during school, then goes to tutoring after school, then comes home and I help her for 2 hours, then it’s about 7pm at night so the only time she gets to play is when I am cooking. Help she is only 7; why does she have to go through all this? I want to just home school her but my husband doesn’t want her to miss out on socializing with her friends. Really if you have any advice that will help me please give it!! Sad part is when she is at home she picks it up like she has known it forever! She is my angel baby and is very smart, but the school makes her feel dumb. Update you on the subject on next week’s gripe blog. I mean opinion blog. Remember if you have any helpful advice please let me know. Thank-you!!

Electronic Cigarettes

Electronic Cigarettes is a device that gives an illusion that your smoking a real cigarette without everything but nicotine. It is battery operated, although you may see smoke come out of the smokers mouth and the cigarette smoking, there is no real smoke.

Pro's- They are electronic, so there is no fire making them more convenient and less of a hazard. The smoker inhales like a normal cigarette, yet no poisons like carcinogens and monoxide is released into the atmosphere. Because of this there is no second hand smoke or odor. Making everyone including the smoker more at ease. They also cost less than normal cigarettes, so consumers would not have to spend so much.

Con's- The first obvious con is that they still contain the drug nicotine, which can cause serious health problems. The cigarette must be charged at all times and if dropped or if it gets wet you have to buy a new one. The big issue is the flavors like: chocolate, mint, caramel, and more; that may cause more minors to take up smoking.

I am a smoker and have had first hand experience with both cigarettes and the electric cigarette. And as a mother of three girls I have to say this is the new green in this product line. I remember have cravings so bad when I was pregnant I had to take pills, I had to go outside to smoke in the cold because I didn't want my girls breathing in second hand smoke. But, no matter how much perfume I put on my girls would still tell me I stunk of smoke; or my breathe stinks. All these things hurt, but they were true. I have been smoking the electronic cigarette for about nine months now; and I have to say mommy doesn't stink anymore. Also, mommy isn't trying to hurt us anymore as my eight year old has told me. Kids are great and through the years I have tried a million times to quit. It should be easy; because they say if you love your children more than anything in the world then you would just quit. I couldn't. However, it may not be true for everyone, but for me and my lovely girls who like to keep count I would smoke 2 packs a day a year ago in May, I now only touch my electronic cigarette about 3-5 times a day for about 5 minutes at a time. So for those people who don't like to do math: I went from 2 packs a day to 2-5 cigarettes a day. I am more outgoing. I first gained like 15 pounds in the first 5 months, but now lost the 15 pounds plus 10 more. I love it. I breathe better, I have more energy and less stress, which is funny because I smoked every time I was stressed out. You call it how you want to but, for me if and when I reach for a cigarette I am reaching for my electronic cigarette. Oh and by the way just a little piece of information you can just like the patches go down on the amount of nicotine your taking in and eventually just have a vanilla flavored cigarette without the nicotine like me.
