This article is about a NFL star Roethlisberger who is accused of sexual assualt. One of the women he had been hanging out with all night is the accuser. Authorities have not charged anyone; follow-up interviews are still going on. There was a civil complaint filed against him last year it also alleges sexual assualt. He and eight Harrah's employees are named in this suit, which seeks atleast $390,000, plus unspecified damages from the defendents.
Stupid.
I don't see where it explains what he has done wrong to her? Why is she filing suit? Maybe another poor star crossed fan wanting money. Who knows?
I do not know what happened, and the sad truth is that we may never know.
ReplyDeleteWith "stars" this is always a difficult situation to figure out. On one hand, you have the star who thinks or feels like they can have anything or anyone they want simply because of who they are. And the thing is, sometimes it's true. There are lots of women, (and men) who will suddenly re-evaluate their morals when it comes to a chance to "be with" a star, or to help them out in some way.
On the other hand, some of these fans think, "Hey, there's so-and-so" and I'm gonna be nice to them, and then make up a lie and claim they raped me" or something similar. Why do this? Money, of course. It's nothing but extortion. The fans put the stars in the position of "either pay me for something that you didn't do, or I will make a huge case out of this and you'll wish you settled with me first."
Then, on the third hand (?) there is the truth. You may have heard that there are two sides to every story, but that's not right. There are three. There is his side, her side, and the truth.
People with money get away with what ever they want. Remember OJ? He murdered his wife and he still walking the streets. The problem with sex assult is it is a very broad accusation that is difficult to prove. But Rothlesburger is probably a douchebag who thinks all women want him and acted inappropriately thinking it was ok because he is famous. But a dirt bag is a dirt bag no matter if he is wearing a NFL jersey or on orange jumpsuit. The difference is having the money and lawyers to stay out of jail.
