Yes, this is an old article, but it deserves more attention than it got! This article goes in to saying that Miss Calfornia, Carrie Prejean might have grounds to sue for dicrimination. Due to Hilton's question on same-sex marriage. Carrie is a christian and goes to to a christian college. So, when the question was asked she choose her faith over a crown. He decision led her to loose the Miss America 2009 crown. They now say that she could sue for stress. Ultimatly people are trying to say that even if she takes this case she will loose. Because it might be said that we are not allowed to discriminate on the basis of religion. That is now said to only apply in the world not pageants.
I can't even discribe the emotions I have for this article.
You have a woman of God, who believes in him enough that she was not afraid to give up her crown for him.
I would love to meet her and tell her that she is an insperation to all of us fellow Christians. She could have went with the crowd and said what she knew they wanted to hear but, she didn't. God bless her. Nice to know that there are still people out there who are willing to stand up in front of millions and say I believe in God! I do however, think as a true Christian she should walk away from the money because she has already earned more than anything money could buy.

I have to say that I would like to meet her too. This woman is full of faith and loves God. What is wrong with that? What is wrong with having faith in your life? Apparentlly the jugdes dont have faith and God in their life so they dont know what to think. They dont believe in God of they didnt what they did. Its awesome to know that there are people out in the world that are not afraid to say that they believe in God....I know i do.
ReplyDeleteFirst, wow...isn't she attractive! Secondly, I have to agree with you, and applaud her for taking a stance even when she knew it would cost her.
ReplyDeleteBut thirdly, isn't it strange that the pageant wants to say that these laws apply only in the "world" and not in the pageant, but when it comes to constitutional issues, these laws can apply to people everywhere and not just Americans. I guess when you're making things up as you go, nothing has to make sense.
Have you seen the latest competitor for Miss California, from Hollywood? She is making an even bolder statement against same-sex marriages! Something tells me that she won't win Miss California. This girl has some serious convictions and is not afraid to let them be known.
ReplyDeleteI also want to meet her.She is so faithing & loving women. What's wrong if some dont believe in God.There is nothing wrong in it.We should have believe in ourself. She is brave that she is not afried of telling truth.
