Robbery gone wrong or bad get away plan?

Officers with the Joplin Police Department were dispatched to the Sonic Drive-In located at 720 South Maiden La. for an armed robbery that had occurred just before 5 p.m. today (February 9). An employee at Sonic indicated that a male and female subject were in a vehicle that she delivered food to and when she approached the vehicle a male subject demanded money from her. The victim stated that the male suspect, later identified as Jaycee Jones, was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle when he displayed a knife and demanded money from her. The female suspect, later identified as Crystal Harper, was sitting in the driver’s seat. The suspects left with an undetermined amount of money. As they were attempting to leave the area, their vehicle became stuck in the snow. Before another employee of Sonic was able to contact the suspects in the vehicle, they both fled the area on foot. Both suspects were later located in the area by Joplin Police Officers and were taken into custody. There were no physical injuries reported to police. Jones was arrested for 1st Degree Armed Robbery and Armed Criminal Action. Harper was arrested for 1st Degree Robbery. Charges will be forwarded to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office. Both subjects are currently in custody at the Joplin City Jail pending formal charges being filed.” This is the article by the Joplin Independent.

All I have to say is why would you not think ahead, plan ahead, or think about how you were going to get away with it? Seriously, I wonder sometimes if anyone ever thinks in life. Number one hello there is snow all over the ground; two, how much money did you think you were going to get off of a car hop? Not to mention if you comment a crime you go to JAIL! This should be on America’s dumbest criminals. I wonder if they could get off these due to mental retardation; or maybe some other brain problem. I honestly could understand robbing to feed your kids or something like that but, I am no way in condoling any kind of breaking the law, I am just saying maybe if they had kids at home starving to death or mentally challenged in some way I could be less in sending them to jail; but in this case all I have to say is bye, bye and enjoy the free room and board and meals you are about to receive because you deserve it. Good Luck in your case and make sure you don’t drop the soap. Oh and you might want to get in shape while you’re in jail so the next time you can run faster.
